Woodlands Terrace Food Factories Wholesale - CNY

Time flies fast and again Chinese New Year (CNY) is around the corner. Every year for the past 5 years, me and my family will pay a visit to the Woodlands Terrace factories. What's in it for you and me over there? Covering the entire stretch of Woodlands Terrace are a chain of food factory outlets supplying various kind of food, gourmet, snacks, desserts and of course those CNY goodies etc to restaurants, hotels, food-caterer and supermarkets.

Be it CNY or during normal days, you may drop by to get a variety of fresh supplies to cater for a party or even an event with a good bargain. That is why people started to crowd around this area 2 to 3 weeks before CNY draws near. Most of the factories will start closing on 5 Feb 2016 onward to rest for the holidays.

The lane is jammed with vehicles and bustled with people especially when chartered buses drop off groups of people who are on RCs/CCs (residents’ committees & community centres) organized 1/2 day shopping trip. Let us move on to visit some of the more popular factories.

After spending about 2 hour or so at Woodlands Terrace, I returned home and got my fridge and food cabinets filled up with provisions and abundance of food and CNY goodies. Definitely a fruitful trip for my entire family. If you wonder how to get there using public transport? You may alight at the nearest MRT station at Admiralty and talk a 5 to 10 minute walk after crossing the overhead bridge. Alternatively you may choose to take a bus no. 964 from Woodlands Interchange and alight at the bus stop beside Old Chang Kee Building at Woodlands Loop and take a walk from there.

So much about food. I hope next year I can see more new CNY foodstuffs at the Woodland Terrace. Wishing you people in advance a Prosperous and Happy Lunar New Year. Huat ah!!!!!
