Murphy's Cafe

Managed to try this out in a neighbourhood cafe called the Murphy's Cafe which was first established in the UK in the 60s with winning awards.

Their signature dish is the fish and chips which uses Canadian Arrowtooth fish which comes in normal battered ($16) and non-oily battered ($17). I tried the normal battered and it was crispy and not oily, and went well with the tartar source. There were also malt vinegar to sprinkle onto the thick cut chips to make them taste more 'British'.

For brunch, my favourite choice is the Eggs Benedict with ham ($12). Eggs were nicely poached and served well with some fresh salad. The other popular one is the poached eggs with salmon which I will try the next time.

Besides their famous fish & chips, they serve burgers, pasta, and brunch food. Desserts: cakes from suppliers. Drinks: Beer, cider, coffee, root beer. If you want something uncommon in a common neighbourhood, then Murphy's may be the place for a blissful weekend.
